An innovative Lifestyle Cooking School, August 30 - September 1, 2008.

The Broadmoor is pleased to host Chop. Mix. Mingle., an innovative lifestyle cooking school.  This Rocky Mountain Style - Farm to Table weekend program focuses on mastering the art of gracious entertaining in your home with simple food from the outdoor grill.

Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31:
Lifestyle Learning Sessions - Ross Room (Classes offered once each day)

  • Make from the Market - The art of Simple Food - Donita Anderson
  • Let's Get Fresh - Styling and Setting the Tone - Helen Schreiber
  • Entertaining is Fun! - Anne Douglass

Monday, September 1:
All Day and Evening Event - Cheyenne Lodge and Ross Room

  • Cheyenne Lodge will be transformed into a chef-inspired farmer's market where guests will source and shop like a chef.  Guests will learn to grill with food selected fromt the market with a Viking pit master at the Viking outdoor kitchen.
  • Breakfast and lunch will be served.
  • Guests will create the mood for the evening event dinner with flowers and finishing touches.
  • Guests will then dine at their own event with spouses and friends
  • Andy Peay, an up-and-coming Napa Valley vintner and Richard Betts will be there to discuss wine pairings.

Packages:

  • Cooking school for one, dinner for two and 2 nights - $1350
  • Cooking school for one, dinner for two and 1 night - $950
  • Learning sessions (8/30-8/31) - $100 each
  • Cooking school and dinner - $550
  • Dinner only - $150
