Painting
Art on location - Instruction
Spectacular architectural views, mountain vistas, and lakeside beauty surround you as you receive one-on-one instruction in plein air painting. Oil painting/watercolor supplies, photo shoot, and priority mailing are all included in this 2 or 3 hour session.
Two Artists...One Canvas
Paint together with our resident artist on a 16x20 canvas. Instruction in oil or watercolor will help you create a lovely composition. All materials are included in this 2 or 3 hour session.
Photography
Enjoy amazing views of the Broadmoor tour as you learn the art of taking the perfect travel photo. Learn lessons such as composition and light and how they relate to each view in this 2 hour session.
Drawing
Explore a variety of water soluble pencils that dissolve into delicate washes. Lessions in composition, perspective, and contrasting from dark to light are taught in this 2 hour session. All materials and matting are included.
Tours BY special Request
Tours can be the highlight of any stay at The BROADMOOR. We offer a wide variety of tours that are sure to please all. You will find just what you are looking for. Please note: These tours are by special request only and can be arranged only by calling 719.577.5864. We kindly request a minimum two-week notice.
Historical Tour
Join your tour guide as she conducts a walking tour of the Main Complex .You will learn about the many colorful, larger-than-life figures that were instrumental in the building of this historic property.

Tour and Demonstration by Artist Mickey Baxter
Renowned muralist/artist Mickey Baxter will conduct a walking tour of the West Building, the West Tower and on to the Spa/Golf Club Building, showcasing her beautiful and whimsical murals and ceilings. She will discuss her inspiration and technique. You will proceed to a demonstration room where Mickey will instruct her audience on how to create your own residential murals, step-by-step.

Wearable Art
Join Teri for a fully interactive workshop designed to jump-start your creative process. Be prepared to make one-of-kind-jewelry piece(s) and learn techniques to create a look that is as unique as you.
Teri is a Colorado Springs native and is a multi-discipline artist and teacher. Drawing from the beauty that surrounds Colorado Springs, she combines techniques in the making of jewelry, silk painting, textile sculpture, embroidery and other mixed media. Her compositions all come together in contemporary, whimsical and ornamental designs.
Only the finest materials will be used including sterling silver, 14kgf or rose-gold-filled wire. Choose from more than 300 different kinds of beads, including Swarovski crystal, fresh water pearls, semi-precious and non-precious stones.
