405105-PM Telephone Sales Agent

Receives incoming calls, takes guest orders, upsells orders, takes restaurant reservations after hours, records messages, helps pre-set orders, and maintains stock room.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Answers phones.
Logs orders.
Organizes food orders in sequence according to receipt.
Determines approximate delivery time for guest.
Assists in pre-setting orders.
Completes side-work.
Uses Infogenesis point-of-sale computer.

Marginal Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

Organizes Room Service area.
Helps re-stock room.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to speak in a clear and concise manner. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
