540101-Laundry Customer Service Representative (May1-Oct 1- Start Date)
Waits on customers, uses cash register, sorts, inspects, assembles and packages garments, files and answers telephones.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create Quick ticket using SPOT system for customers
- Know and maintain high quality standards
- Receive, sort and assemble garments for customers
- Return finished garments to customers
- Handle cash correctly
- Know and maintain safety procedures
- File clothes on holding line
- Answer phones and take messages
- Assist in hanging garments coming out of the dry cleaning machine
- Invoice items into SPOT system
- Distribute hung garments to Presser
- Stage pants on clothes horse for Pants Presser

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
