430112-Laundry Attendant (Now-Oct. 31)
Works various assignments in Laundry production. Assignments include sorting soiled laundry, operating flat iron machine and folding and distributing clean laundry. Employees work as a team to maintain high production standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operates flat iron and feeder
- Inspects linen for tears or stains
- Sorts linen, removing towels from sheets
- Practices safety regulations
- Counts and stacks linen
- Folds various laundry items
- Weighs linen
Marginal Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following.
- Assists in other areas of the Laundry

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
