520102-Purchasing Coordinator

Maintain adequate par stock on warehouse inventory items including all data entry functions. Obtain competitive bid quotes on routine items. Ensure that all paperwork is processed in an efficient accurate manner. Expedite all orders: follow up all delivery dates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Responsible for purchasing warehouse inventory and routine non-inventory items as assigned
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels for assigned warehouse
  • Inventory items to insure proper flow of materials
  • Perform all data entry duties required for inventory
  • Train employees on Stratton-Warren purchasing system
  • Assist with product sourcing, management reporting and contract developments
  • Insure that filing procedures are organized and up-to-date
  • Work in conjunction with Accounts Payable to reconcile all pricing discrepancies
  • Cross-train and act as support in warehouse, retail receiving and packaging operations
  • Maintain up-to-date filing system for all Purchasing documents                                            

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Inventory software.
