Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, takes dictation, and otherwise relieves officials of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Handles preliminary inquiries regarding sales, conventions, and group functions/bookings
- Examines conventions needs and mail conference packets
- Types proposals, correspondence, letters of agreement, and group booking sheets and creates files, memos, and other correspondence as requested
- Continuously makes corrections and adjustments on all correspondence
- Continuously makes complete conference packets that include appropriate information as requested by manager
- Properly files paperwork daily
- Assists at reception desk as needed
- Assists with any other duties as required by supervisors

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Type 40 wpm minimum.
