430105 Espresso's Attendant

Serves food or beverages to customers seated and at the counter by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Greet and assist guests
  • Take and prepare orders
  • Maintain the store in a proficient manner
  • Practice menu knowledge
  • Maintain the cash register
     

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates and Licenses:  Completion of The BROADMOOR Hotel's Responsible Alcohol Service class.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
