The Broadmoor welcomes women of all ages to reboot the mind, body, and spirit at the resort’s 4th
annual Women’s Weekend of Wellness, co-sponsored by the University of Colorado (CU) Anschutz Health and Wellness Center
, April 16-19, 2015.
This transformational, all-inclusive weekend is focused on helping women develop a healthier lifestyle through a number of interactive seminars and exercise-based activities. Led by doctors and specialists from both the CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center and The Broadmoor, the theme this year is ‘The Energy of Wellness’ with a focus on how, for women especially, the power of positivity is key to creating a life that is healthy, strong, and vibrant. The seminars and activities are conducted in an engaged setting, ensuring women can “let their hair down” and get to know one another, discover opportunities of bonding, and have moments of clarity that are sparked by the sessions and then informally discussed during activities and shared meals.
As part of the weekend, each guest is given the opportunity to have a personalized Wellness Evaluation to assess the six controllable dimensions of wellness: physical fitness, metabolic fitness, nutrition, sleep, stress, and quality and satisfaction of life. Evaluation results are discussed with the expert’s on-hand and personal goals are set to create a customized program for each participant.
THURSDAY, APRIL 16 Attendees can choose either a two-or three-night package; those who elect to stay three nights begin the weekend with a special welcome reception of cocktails and healthy hors d’oeuvres, hosted by The Broadmoor’s Spa Director Cassie Hernandez.
