Cloud Camp End of Season Letter - 2020
PDF Version

Thank you all for choosing Cloud Camp as your mountaintop getaway this year. If there has been a time that meant more to see all of you, this year was it. It has been the Cloud Camp Team’s and my pleasure to have served you this past season. We appreciate your continued support and those who could not return this season; we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Our trail system keeps improving, giving our guests more options for their hiking trips. The newest addition, Upper Sunrise Trail, has had many boots tread on its path this season. When you return next season, be sure to catch the Columbines blooming in the traditional blue, sun-kissed yellow and delicate white. If you feel a bit more energized, the hike up from Seven Falls has proven to be challenging our most acclimated guests! I think you should make it one of your goals for 2021.

Executive Wilderness Chef, Randi, has kept our guests well fed all season! Leading nightly Cooking Club demonstrations, preparing show-stopping four-course dinners, and thrilling everyone with the incredible platters that were shared family-style this year amongst groups traveling together.

Why not take your family into the clouds this holiday season? Cloud Camp is available for either a three- or-four night stay over the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays. The entire camp will be yours and yours alone, including the main lodge and all seven of its guest rooms. All meals, beverages, and alcohol are included, and Cloud Camp’s resident host and culinary team will ensure that no need goes unmet. Share your holiday traditions with us, and we will do all of the work so you can enjoy time with your loved ones.

Over the next few months, we encourage you to keep in touch. One last bit of news before we speak again. Our own Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway will be rolling up Pikes Peak again in May of 2021. I know that you like to be ahead of the game, and I encourage you to visit, sign up and stay up to date while planning your next trip west!
We look forward to welcoming you back to Cloud Camp in 2021. We’ll open our doors again for guests on Friday, April 30.
Best Wishes for a Wonderful Winter,

Lisa Thomassie
Manager, Cloud Camp
