480103-Parking Garage Cashier

Oversees collection of monies for all Guest Services / Garage Parking Events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversees pre-sale of event parking tickets
  • Collects payments for incoming event parking and issue tickets
  • Balances bank at the end of the event, by matching collected money to the tickets issued
  • Drops collected money and all paperwork at the General Cashier
  • Cashier will need to be available to work at any and all pre-arranged stations to include; outdoor podiums, lobby podiums or Cashier Booth.  Stations will be scheduled by the specifics of group resumes
  • Keeps work area orderly and clean
  • Assists with directing traffic during parking events
  • Performs all other duties, as assigned

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds and up to 30 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
