Maintains grounds of all industrial, commercial, or public hotel property by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cuts lawns and operated a mulching mower
- Trims edges, and weeds around walks, flower beds, and walls
- Prunes roses, shrubs, and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs
- Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides
- Rake and bag leaves
- Cleans grounds and remove litter
- Shovels snow from walks and driveways
- Spreads ice melt on public passage ways to prevent ice buildup
- Plants grass, trees, and shrubs
- Water lawns, shrubs, and trees
- Rototill new sod areas
- Plant knowledge
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
No Computer skills needed.

Valid Colorado Driver’s License
