When The Broadmoor opened its doors on June 29, 1918, it immediately captured the public’s attention. Guests were welcomed into elegant spaces filled with carefully selected international furnishings chosen personally by Julie Penrose. The Broadmoor began with afternoon tea and ballroom dancing and has gone on to host world-class events, professional golf tournaments, US Presidents, international summits, wilderness retreats, and so much more.

While the resort has grown and evolved over the past century, its purpose has remained constant.
