The Broadmoor Invitation
Dating back to 1921, The Broadmoor Invitation continues the tradition of hosting premier amateur players throughout the country. In addition to a championship tournament environment, players and their spouses/guests will experience all of the amenities and activities that this world-class destination has to offer, as well as participate in exclusive social events. The 2026 Invitation will be held July 26-30 and promises to be another wonderful week.
The tournament format is a four round, Four-Ball Stroke Play (one better ball of the two-man teams). Teams will pre-determine at application which flight they want to play in based on course yardage. The Champions Flight will play at approximately 7,100 yards, (the overall Broadmoor Invitation Champion team will come from the Champions Flight), the Traditions Flight will play at approximately 6,500 yards, the Legends Flight will play at approximately 6,100 yards, and new this year, the Vintage Flight, will play at approximately 5500 yards. (Note: to qualify for the Prodigy Flight, each player must have a cumulative age and handicap of 70 and above). With an anticipated wait list for the tournament, several factors will be weighed for entry acceptance:
Previous participation and results in The Broadmoor Invitation
State and national tournament participation and results
Handicap indexes will be reviewed for the application process; however all play will remain from scratch in all flights (no handicapping).
