Fly Fishing School & Fish House

Join our professional fly fishing guides at the Broadmoor Fish House (an Adirondack style cabin located on the 6th hole of the East Golf Course) for a two-hour intro to fly fishing, which includes a 20 minute casting intro and then fishing in the pond. This course is perfect for the beginner to intermediate angler. Reservations are required for the two hour intro to fly fishing lesson.

Join our professional guides for an exciting half-day or full-day trip on the water. From the wide-open fields of the Spinney Mountain State Wildlife Area to the awe-inspiring cliffs surrounding Cheeseman Canyon, we have some of the best fishing access in the state. We also offer private access on Tarryall Creek through Orvis-endorsed Fly Fishing Camp and Eagle Rock Ranch. If you’re lucky, you can achieve the Colorado Grand Slam by catching a Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and Brook Trout all in the same day.

Fly Fishing Camp

Fly Fishing Camp is located on the Tarryall River and bordering 120,000 acres of the Lost Creek Wilderness. Enjoy personalized attention and an array of activities including fly fishing, hiking, and the opportunity to see some of Colorado's most spectacular wildlife. Fly Fishing Camp is available for overnight stays, family reunions and meeting retreats, as well as for day use by Broadmoor guests by prior arrangement.

Planning For Your Trip

Before beginning your fly fishing adventure with our expert guides, we do advise that all guests familiarize themselves with the information below to ensure they’re prepared.

  • Upon reservation shoe size will be asked of all guests to properly fit waders.
  • On the day of their excursion, all guests are required to bring a driver's license/SSN information with them to fill out the fishing license needed to participate.
  • Transportation will be arranged for The Broadmoor's individual guests and groups to fishing locations at no additional charge.
  • Fishing locations range from 7,000 to 9,500 feet in elevation, so guests should bring layers of clothing to prepare for cooler temperatures and potential rain showers. This includes a rain jacket, a brimmed ball-cap or hat, polarized sunglasses, which are essential for eye protection, and sunscreen.
  • Guide gratuities for half-day, full-day, and trophy lake fishing trips are at your discretion.
  • Cancelation Policy: 3-10 Days is 50% of charter. Within 72 hours is 100% of charter. Prior to ten days, there is no charge.
