There are so many things to do during the Winter season at Destination Broadmoor!  Broadmoor guests may choose from a wide selection of activities and classes on-site or in nearby Colorado Springs, designed to enlighten, excite and educate. Advance registration is suggested.  Outdoor activities are weather permitting.  Offered each weekend from November 6 through the end of March.*

The Broadmoor Seven Falls
A majestic series of waterfalls in a scenic, 1250-foot-wall box canyon, known as "The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado."  A one-mile hike from the resort.

The Broadmoor Soaring Adventure

Accompanied by two guides at all times, Soaring Adventure participants have the option to experience the full tour, which is approximately four hours, or choose one of our two distinct courses (the Woods Course and Fins Course). Both individual courses feature five zip lines that get progressively longer, giving guests time to ease into their aerial adventure. 

Broadmoor Outfitters
Experience a bevy of outdoor adventures, including falconry, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, fat biking, snow shoeing, fly fishing and paintball.

Pikes Peak Cog Railway
In operation since June 30th, 1891, The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cog Railway is a one-of-a-kind Colorado adventure that transports you to the 14,115-foot-high summit of Pikes Peak from a safe, comfortable seat on the world’s highest cog train.

Colorado Horseback Riding Adventures
Enjoy authentic western horseback riding against the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Horseback riding experiences are available for all ages and skill levels with our professional guides. 


 
Horseback riding is a time honored tradition in the American West and the perfect addition to your Colorado Springs vacation. At The Broadmoor, we continue that legacy by offering authentic horseback riding experiences for riders of all ages and skill levels.

Old Stage Riding Stables
Experience the timeless allure of the Rockies as your professional guide escorts you through scenic trails where you may even spy an old mining claim as well as elk, buffalo, or other indigenous animals among the stunning mountain views. Old Stage Riding Stables offers an authentic western horseback riding experience for riders of all skill levels. Lead rides are provided for our younger riders, in addition to friendly animals just right for petting. Reservations are required.
 
One-hour and two-hour guided horseback rides, horse-drawn rides and wildlife safaris are available. Children are required to be at least 7 years of age.

Jeep and Horseback Combo
This thrilling combination tour includes parts of our Mountain Jeep Tour along with a one-hour horseback ride. Your cowboy guide will pick you up from The Broadmoor in an open air Jeep and take you up the Old Stage Road leading to Cripple Creek. Next stop the stables, where you'll enjoy a one-hour horseback ride on scenic mountain trails through pine trees, aspen groves and serene mountain meadows. After the ride we get back in the Jeeps and head over to St. Peters Dome overlook before driving back to town. Reservations are required.
 
RIDES FOR CHILDREN AGES 7 AND UNDER
 
The Old Stage Riding Stable at The Broadmoor is happy to provide safely-led horse rides for children. During this age-appropriate activity, your child is led on a fun nature walk. Parents are welcome to walk along.
