Karen Schott

Director of Racquet Sports

Karen joined The Broadmoor Tennis Staff as a teaching professional in 1994 and became Director of Tennis in November, 2005 after assisting Dennis Ralston (member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame) as Director for eleven years. Karen was a top junior player in Colorado and the Intermountain Section and served as captain of the University of Denver tennis team. Karen is currently the RSPA (formerly the USPTA) Intermountain Vice President and was a featured speaker at the USPTA World Conference in 2021. She serves on the USTA Colorado District Board of Directors and several USTA committees.

Christopher Ellis

RSPA Tennis Professional & PPR Pickleball Professional

Christopher began his Broadmoor career in 2001. He hails from Huntsville, Alabama where he coached high school tennis and served as a tennis professional at the Vestavia Country Club. Christopher was the #1 High School Singles Champion for Alabama in 1984 before playing at Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama. He was named Head Tennis Professional in June 2012 and is our tennis and pickleball camp specialist.

Kristin Gobberg

Lead Racquet Professional

Kristin hails from Cary, Illinois where she grew up playing junior tennis. She played Division 1 collegiate tennis at Villanova University and spent the next ten years in intercollegiate athletics fundraising at Villanova and the University of Texas. Her most recent passion is pickleball and has parlayed her competitive spirit into pickleball tournaments and coaching our students here at The Broadmoor. In addition to teaching pickleball, Kristin leads our Women’s USTA Tennis Program.

David Schott

Tennis Professional

Originally from Santa Monica, California, David has lived in Colorado for the past thirty-three years. David competed at the University of Colorado in both tennis and skiing. After graduating, he parlayed his tennis experience and architectural degree from CU into a position with IMG designing tennis facilities around the world. David coached tennis in the Evergreen and Denver area twenty years before coming to The Broadmoor in 2017.

Michelangelo “Milo” Ciotti

Tennis Professonal

Milo is a graduate of Doane University in Crete, Nebraska, where he majored in Exercise Science and minored in strength and conditioning. He played on the men’s tennis team at Doane for four years and coached at various tennis clubs every summer. Milo’s passion for athletic training has allowed him to focus on the health and proper techniques of his students, optimizing their potential and limiting injuries. Milo is also passionate about pickleball coaching!

Tyler Pyle

Tennis Professional

Tyler grew up on Hilton Head Island, where he later became the Head Professional at the iconic Van Der Meer Tennis Academy. He played Division 1 tennis at Appalachian State University and earned a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Biostatistics. After a move to Colorado, Tyler became the Director of Junior Player Development at Lifetime Athletics in Centennial, Colorado where he led a very successful group of 50 high performance junior players and ten coaches. Most recently, Tyler spent six months as a travel/hitting coach for a player at ATP, Challenger and ITF events across North America and Europe.

Jules Matossian

Tennis Professional

Jules is the newest addition to our team. Born in France, Jules moved to Valencia, Spain when he was ten years old. A recent graduate of the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, Jules is now earning his MBA in Business Management and Marketing. He is here in Colorado gaining experience for his degree and to coach tennis here at The Broadmoor. Jules was a Top 10 Junior player in Spain and was a hitting partner with Carlos Alcarez. Most recently, he founded a tennis club in Valencia, where he oversaw day-to-day operations and coached tennis.
