The Golden Bee originally came to The Broadmoor in 1961 as a collection of panels and fixtures from a 19th century English pub, and since its opening, it has continued to offer enticing Gastro Pub fare with plenty of English charm. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, a ragtime piano player entertains guests with rousing sing-alongs, and the ale is served in yards—which seems fitting for Colorado Springs, a town once nicknamed "Little London".
Beginning at 7:30 PM, the sounds of a ragtime piano can be heard nightly at the Golden Bee. Modern classics including Sweet Caroline, Margaritaville, and Piano Man are played by request, and patrons are encouraged to grab a songbook, raise their glass, and sing along.
