Gingerbread Display
2024 Creation: The 2025 U.S. Senior Open Golf Cart
When the snow falls, we trade fairways for frosting with our annual holiday gingerbread build! These festive creations have become a beloved tradition, showcasing jaw-dropping edible architecture and holiday magic that rivals our greens. Whether you’re on the course or in the lobby, The Broadmoor is the place where timeless tradition meets playful spirit.
This year our annual over-the-top gingerbread display features a design from the golf course in celebration of the upcoming U.S. Senior Open Championship at The Broadmoor June 25-29, 2025. The impressive showcase includes golf carts, caddies, clubs, tees, and more. Brought to life with motorized, moving elements, the scene will transport viewers to the greens while tapping into the art of golf.
The delicious display was carefully crafted with over 958 lbs. of powdered sugar, 475 lbs. of flour, 1,801 eggs, 19 pounds of holiday spices, 200 pounds of granulated sugar, 128 pounds of molasses, 6 pounds of salt, and 164 pounds of dark chocolate.
"Creating the annual gingerbread display is one of our favorite holiday traditions," shared David Patterson, The Broadmoor's Vice President of Food and Beverage. "While the displays take months of preparation and planning, it's a labor of love and an opportunity to get creative and highlight different aspects of the resort in a truly magical way."
Past gingerbread creations have included trains, chapels, and even boats.
